Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls) by Maggie Stiefvater

 

This book was recommended to my by an friend of mine and i am so happy she did. At a time were vampire are everywhere it was a great  to read a story were they are no where in sight. ( don't get me wrong i love a good vampire story) .

Grace and Sam's story is far from your typical love story, which is why i fell in love with it.    I found that the story line for this was fresh and original. Yet at the same time i felt like i was reading a classic fairy tale ( beauty and the beast) 

The story 

Grace has grown up watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. The one  her wolf has a chilling presence that she can't seem to live without. 

Sam has lives two lives,  In the winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a girl. In  summer, he has a  precious few  months of being human until the  

cold makes him shift back again. Bringing him back to the girl

  In the summer months Grace meets a boy whose familiarity takes  her  breath away. Something inside tells her that she knows who her and that it is impossible. He is her wolf.  But as winter nears,  Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing Grace, forever.
