Review
There are mixed emotions as I write this review - feelings I’m sure any reader can relate to when a favourite series draws to a close. The joy of knowing how the series ends but the heart ache at knowing that the end is here

Jeri Smith-Ready introduced us to a world where the line between the living and the dead had become crossed.

Shine contains everything that you want in a great novel adtion, romance and mystery, and yet, it proved to be bigger and better than before.

Aura, has never been what I would consider a simple character. Her decisions and actions may not always be the smartest, but regardless of her imperfections, I have always admired her.

In Shine, you see just how much Aura has matured and grown over the course of the series. Her strength and resilience were especially evident in this instalment, particularly when fighting for her boyfriend, Zachary.

From the moment the book starts, the plot proved to be an intricate one as we revisited the mystery surrounding the Shift and the significance of Newrange.
Plot-wise, I can honestly say that nothing felt underdeveloped, and intriguing new ideas were introduced.

The wonderful romance between Zachary and Aura contributed greatly to that. Fans will be pleased to know that Jeri Smith-Ready does not hold back In this book and Zachary and Aura get plenty of tender moments to themselves. Which are long over due.I have always been a huge fan of Zachary his ascents kilt and adored him endlessly in this series. The way he and Aura care for each other is heart-warming to read about, and makes you hope that their is a love like that for everyone . It’s saddening me to know I won’t get to read more about their life .

Overall, Shine lived up to my expectations and provided a more than satisfying conclusion to a great trilogy. The final book delivered a sense of much-needed closure, but I’ll be sad to see it go and can only hope that maybe oneday there could be more.

The story

In this dramatic conclusion to the Shade trilogy, Aura and Zachary’s relationship sizzles as the secrets of the Shift are revealed.

Life can change in an instant, and no one understands that better than Aura. It’s been almost a year since her boyfriend tragically died. She’s finally letting go of Logan’s violet-hued ghost, but not her search to uncover the truth about her past.

As the first in a generation that can see ghosts, Aura is convinced she has a connection to the Shift. She’s trusted Zachary, ever patient and ever by her side, with all that she knows. But when the government threatens his life in an attempt to learn Aura’s secrets, she will stop at nothing to protect herself and the one she loves...even if that means betraying her own heart

Warm bodies by Isaac Marion

To be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. Don't get me wrong I love  everything paranormal but as I had never read anything purely based on the life of a zombie I was very unsure of  what to expect. I had seen the movie trailers which I think is what inspired me to take the plung and give the book a chance and I am so glad I did.

I never thought the life of a zombie could he so interesting and structured. The idea that even once you are dead or living dead that there could be a form of structure and even faith was a amazing concept that can lend its self to so many story possibilities.
In this case Isaac  has told the story of a no name zombie who we come to no as R. R dosent know who he was before he died, or even how old he is.
But even in the world of zombies there is something different about R , he appears to be more then zombie but less then human.  This becomes more apparent when R meets .... On a food hunt and his life changes forever .

From the moment they meet there is a spark of change in the air . The world or what is left of the world will he changed for ever.

This is a inspiring story of love and hope. Encouraging people to never give up that one person can change the world.

For those who are looking for a good read this book has something for everyone
Love war fear hope dead people blood planes and brains
This is a book to add to your must read pile this year

Synopsis

R is a young man with an existential crisis–he is a zombie. He shuffles through an America destroyed by war, social collapse, and the mindless hunger of his undead comrades, but he craves something more than blood and brains. He can speak just a few grunted syllables, but his inner life is deep, full of wonder and longing. He has no memories, noidentity, and no pulse, but he has dreams.

After experiencing a teenage boy’s memories while consuming his brain, R makes an unexpected choice that begins a tense, awkward, and strangely sweet relationship with the victim’s human girlfriend. Julie is a blast of color in the otherwise dreary and gray landscape that surrounds R. His decision to protect her will transform not only R, but his fellow Dead, and perhaps their whole lifeless world.

Scary, funny, and surprisingly poignant, Warm Bodies is about being alive, being dead, and the blurry line in between.
