Review
Lair of Dreams picks up not long after, The Diviners ended. It’s 1926, and after a supernatural showdown with a serial killer, Evie O'Neill was left with no choice but to reveal  herself as a Diviner. With her talent  revealed, she has now become a media darling, earning the title, “America’s Sweetheart Seer.” But as more Diviners  appear  not everyone is so accepting.

We of course see more of the powers of the characters who were the center of the first book like Evie, Sam, and Memphis. But in this book, Henry takes center stage. We get to learn so much more about his Diviners power, dreamwalking.

We are also introduced  to a new  character Ling a handicapped girl,
who is a dream walker like Henry.
Both use the realm of dreams as a escape  from the real world. Henry is using it to search for the boy he fell in love with in New Orleans. Ling uses it as a place to be free from her handicap.to be the way she was. Together they  discover a world of secrets and mysterious, that may leave them wishing that they never entered the realm of dreams.

Memphis is struggling to deal with both his healing abilities and his forbidden love for a white woman. But there is someone else watching him.

This book is told through multiple perspectives but it works  for this story as it allows  you  to get a  better understanding  of the characters .  There are also  complicated pasts that we are slowly learning about.

If you liked the first book in this series, I think you'll really enjoy Lair of Dreams
