Betrothed by Wanda Wiltshire
Synopsis
Amy Smith has always known she was different. Severe allergies, fragile health and taunts at school have made life an endurance test for the adopted seventeen year old.
When Amy starts having strange dreams, everything changes. Night after night, she becomes trapped in a shroud of black - a void of silence but for a male voice calling for a girl named ‘Marla’.
One night, the darkness clears, Leif is revealed and Amy discovers that she is the girl he has been searching for.
Immediately the two are swept up in a passionate yet forbidden love. Leif isn’t like the other boys Amy knows. Breathtakingly gorgeous, he speaks with her telepathically … not to mention, he can fly …
Desperate to find a way to be with her, Leif tells Amy of the terrifying threat to his Fae homeland, the danger to the people, and of an unforgivable betrayal to his King. He urges her to seek her true identity…. But Amy is confused... isn't it all just a dream?
Review
'Betrothed' is the beautiful and amazing novel by Wanda Wiltshire.
We are thrown into the world of Amy Smith, not quiet your typical teen age girl. Amy is plaged with allergies and haunted by strange dreams. Wiltshire has a real talent for capturing emotion and drawing the reader into the story . As soon as it was finished I was telepathically screaming at the author to FINISH THE NEXT BOOK!
I adored the characters and Nothing seemed unbelievable – in fact as we speak I’m packing my bags - so I can move to Faera. I was also amazed amd depth of the enchanting imagery . The story is unpredictable, with so many twists and turns.
The thing I love about this book is that while romance is a huge part . it is a story about finding oneself, a story of friendship and belonging.
I can not wait to see what will happen next. This is a book that you have to read

Antigoddess by Kendare Blake
Synopsis
The Goddess War begins in Antigoddess, the first installment of the new series by acclaimed author ofAnna Dressed in Blood, Kendare Blake.
Old Gods never die…
Or so Athena thought. But then the feathers started sprouting beneath her skin, invading her lungs like a strange cancer, and Hermes showed up with a fever eating away his flesh. So much for living a quiet eternity in perpetual health.
Desperately seeking the cause of their slow, miserable deaths, Athena and Hermes travel the world, gathering allies and discovering enemies both new and old. Their search leads them to Cassandra—an ordinary girl who was once an extraordinary prophetess, protected and loved by a god.
These days, Cassandra doesn’t involve herself in the business of gods—in fact, she doesn’t even know they exist. But she could be the key in a war that is only just beginning.
Because Hera, the queen of the gods, has aligned herself with other of the ancient Olympians, who are killing off rivals in an attempt to prolong their own lives. But these anti-gods have become corrupted in their desperation to survive, horrific caricatures of their former glory. Athena will need every advantage she can get, because immortals don’t just flicker out.
Every one of them dies in their own way. Some choke on feathers. Others become monsters. All of them rage against their last breath.
The Goddess War is about to begin.
Review
For fans of greek mythology, Antigoddess brings a creative and original depiction of the well loved myth and ledgend with the gods and goddess fighting a new war and having to deal with a society that has forgotten them
When the story begins we are told that something is extremely wrong with the Greek gods and goddesses. This is learnt through Athena and Hermes . This prologue is intriguing which sets the tone for the story . Then we're thrown into the lives of Cassandra and Aidan, students in high school, completely oblivious of any kind of a war brewing. Cassandra a regular teenage girl who is psychic, Aidan just wants to be a normal teenager but he has a secret that could cost him the thing he loves most Cassandra.
The story bounces from cassandra and Aidan perspective to Athena and Herme's which is where how we lesrn what is going on on both sides of this story. From the war to what cassandra and Aidan have to do with the gods and goddess.
Both sides are weaved together well and you don't feel like you have to go back and forth to follow the story.
Kendare does not let us down when it comes to the ending. Which will surprise you.
I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Death of a Saint by Lily Herne
Synopsis

can’t even admit it to yourself? Lily Herne returns with Death of a Saint , the next instalment in the Mall Rats series.
Exiled from the city enclave for crimes against the Resurrectionist State, teen rebels Lele, Ginger, Ash and Saint — aka the Mall Rats — are hiding out in the Deadlands, a once-prosperous area now swarming with the living dead. With the sinister Guardians breathing down their necks, the Mall Rats face a stark choice: return to the enclave and try to evade capture or leave Cape Town in search of other survivors. But what if the rest of South Africa is nothing but a zombie-infested wasteland? Will they be able to survive on the road if all they have is each other, or will their secrets tear them apart?
After all, only Lele knows the shocking truth as to why the dead leave the Mall Rats unscathed — knowledge that she can’t bring herself to share. And she’s not the only Mall Rat harbouring a dangerous secret
Review
Death of a Saint is the second in the Mall Rats horror series by South African author Lily Herne.
Death of a Saint picks up where Deadlands left off. The Mall Rats make the decision to travel outside of Cape Town to find other survivors. Along the way picking up some new friends and a old friend, including a pretty redhead Ember, a cute hyena named Bambi, and the mysterious Lucien, who reveals a secret Ash was hoping to keep hidden.
The road is a bumpy, the journey unsafe, but perhaps the most dangerous aspect that comes into play is that, for all the team's united front, the secrets they keep from one another may be the biggest threat of all.
Like any teenage they are struggling to find there emotions and to find there place in a world that is a nightmare
Though there were moment I enjoyed in this story. I find my self at times struggling to get into this story.
