Review
Every time I open a book by Amanda Hocking, I am pulled so deeply into the world and story that before I realized it I have finished the book.
In Ice Kissed, we return to the world of the Kanin. Bryn still feels there is more to the disappearance of the Skojare
On returning to Kanin Bryn has to tell the King what really happened which leaves the king with no choice but to declared war on Konstanin.
Bryn continues to blames herself but there is something that makes her then that Konstanin isn't the enemy.
Then there is her friendship with Ridley. It's clear from the start that Bryn feels something but is to scared to become emotional involved. As this could cast her everything she has dreamed and work so hard for.
Where in Frostfire, Bryn was capable, but still appeared to be unsure of her self. But as Ice Kissed progress we see her grow to become fierce, determined and confident.
I loved being transported to the watery Skojare kingdom, along with the flirtatious, and somewhat sleazy prince Kennet.
Everyone seem to have a secret agenda. From the guards to king. But it is a testament to Bryn's character, that she refused to give up, or compromise her character.
Then throughout the story you have Konstanin popping in and out. As if he is trying to protect Bryn. He seems to always be in the background.
Though ice kissed will leave you with more questions than answers. It will create a incredible third novel.
This is definitely a series to add to your to read pile this year.
