Review
One of my favourite books from last year was Abigail Gibb's, The Dark Heroine: Dinner with a Vampire. Needless to say when i saw Autumn Rose at sydney air port i couldnt wait to find out what happens next.
In Autumn Rose we are introduced to a new dimension and characters. Our leading lady Autumn wants nothing more then to be a normal teenager after the death of her grandmother like any teenager Autumn has to deal with bullies, parent dramas balancing work and school. The only difference is that Autumn is not human she is a sage which comes with its only set of issues.
Even when an old friend pops back into her world. A friend that she is less then impressed to see turn up. As it brings up things that she has tried hard to bury deep inside.
making everything worse there are dark secrets that are being kept from her. Secrets that she can no longer ignore.
Everything in this book happens parallel to the time stamp of The Dark Heroine but in a different dimension and involving a completely different set of characters. Though throughout the story you get glimpses of the characters and story line from dark heroine. It isn't until towards the end that the story.
I'm such a big fan of Abigail Gibbs and the dark heroine series.I was hooked from the first page. I loved it and can't wait to find out what happens next.
